Opening sequence prep work

4 to 7 year olds, girls.

-Introducing characters
-set/location
-producers
-sound track, diegetic
-establishing narrative
-Title credits, actors cue roles
-genre characteristics
-voice over to clearly establish narrative
-colorful
-more image than text (clear easy to read and understand text)
- attractive

childrens film: a film aimed at a child audience needs to potentially contain adult friendly content, so adults can watch it with children.

Techniques:
-live action
-animation

Conventions:
-climax the story
-resolution
-clear objectives/ story
-fantastical characters
-some stereotypes e.g. good Vs. evil
-roll models
-morels (a morel in the story)
-journey (emotional, physical, metaphorical)

giving a hint of these in the opening sequence
